Colleen Nugent is an PhD student in World History at Northeastern University. Her research focuses on colonial interaction with Islamic cultures, and how former imperial powers, specifically Britain and France, have reacted to the influx of Muslim migrants from their former colonies. Her digital humanities research focuses on spatial theory, humanities data visualization, and geographic visualizations.
She has a BA in History and Political Science from Union College. She has a MA in World History from Northeastern University. See her CV here.
